Article I — Scope of Limited Repair Warranty
1.1 Purpose
This Limited Repair Warranty establishes the terms and conditions under which Portillo Automotive, LLC may provide warranty coverage for specific repair services and replacement parts identified on the applicable Repair Order or Invoice.
1.2 Scope of Coverage
This Warranty applies only to the specific repairs, replacement parts, labor, adjustments, calibrations, and services expressly identified on the applicable Repair Order or Invoice.
Coverage does not extend to unrelated systems, components not repaired or replaced, pre-existing defects, prior damage, or future failures unrelated to the authorized repair.
1.3 Covered Workmanship
Portillo Automotive warrants that covered repairs will be performed in a workmanlike manner using commercially reasonable automotive repair practices appropriate for the type of service authorized.
Workmanship coverage applies only when the claimed condition is determined to result directly from the installation or performance of the specific repair and not from an unrelated condition, excluded cause, normal wear, or subsequent damage.
1.4 Replacement Parts
Replacement parts supplied by Portillo Automotive are covered only as expressly stated in this Warranty and subject to applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty terms.
1.5 Available Warranty Remedy
If a covered condition is confirmed, Portillo Automotive may, to the extent permitted by law, reperform the repair, repair or replace the affected component, issue a credit, or refund the amount paid for the covered repair.
Article II — Inspection, Road Testing, Vehicle Condition, and Delivery
2.1 Authorization to Operate the Vehicle
The Customer authorizes Portillo Automotive and its authorized personnel to start, operate, move, raise, reposition, inspect, and road test the Vehicle as reasonably necessary for diagnosis, repair, calibration, verification, quality control, and delivery.
2.2 Road Testing
Road testing may occur before, during, or after repairs and may include city driving, highway driving, acceleration, braking, steering, suspension evaluation, transmission operation, engine performance, and other operating conditions reasonably related to the authorized work.
2.3 Limited Scope of Inspection
Any inspection or road test is limited to systems reasonably related to the authorized repair. It is not a certification that every component or system of the Vehicle has been inspected or found free of defects.
2.4 Post-Repair Verification
Successful verification establishes only that the authorized repair operated as intended at the time of evaluation. It does not guarantee future performance or the condition of unrelated systems.
Article III — Diagnostic Services, Repair Limitations, and Authorization
3.1 Limited Diagnostic Scope
Unless otherwise authorized in writing, diagnostic services are limited to the concerns reported by the Customer or reasonably observed during evaluation.
3.2 Progressive Diagnosis
The Customer understands that automotive diagnosis may require progressive testing, disassembly, repair, calibration, or road testing before the underlying cause can be identified.
3.3 Hidden Conditions
Corrosion, internal damage, contamination, prior repairs, aftermarket modifications, collision damage, and concealed component failures may not be discoverable until work has begun.
3.4 Additional Repairs
Portillo Automotive will make reasonable efforts to obtain authorization before performing work materially outside the previously authorized scope.
Article IV — Customer Responsibilities and Warranty Preservation
4.1 Maintenance Obligations
The Customer is responsible for maintaining the Vehicle according to manufacturer recommendations and any specific written instructions provided by Portillo Automotive.
4.2 Fluid Levels
The Customer must maintain proper engine oil, coolant, transmission fluid, brake fluid, differential fluid, and other required fluid levels.
4.3 Warning Conditions
The Customer should promptly investigate warning lights, overheating, abnormal noises, smoke, vibration, fluid leaks, loss of power, braking concerns, or steering concerns.
4.4 Prevention of Additional Damage
If continued operation may cause additional damage or create an unsafe condition, the Customer should stop operating the Vehicle as soon as it is reasonably safe to do so.
Article V — Warranty Exclusions and Limitations
5.1 Normal Wear
This Warranty does not cover normal wear, routine maintenance, age-related deterioration, corrosion, rust, or components reaching the end of their normal service life.
5.2 Improper Operation or Misuse
Coverage does not apply to damage resulting from racing, competition, excessive engine speed, overloading, improper towing, off-road use, abuse, neglect, or operation contrary to manufacturer recommendations.
5.3 Improper Fluids
Coverage does not apply to damage caused by overfilling, underfilling, contaminated fluids, incorrect viscosity, incompatible fluids, improper coolant mixtures, improper fuel, or failure to maintain required fluid levels.
5.4 Continued Operation
Additional or progressive damage resulting from continued operation after warning lights, overheating, loss of oil pressure, fluid leaks, abnormal noises, smoke, grinding, braking failure, or steering failure may be excluded from coverage.
5.5 Outside Repairs and Modifications
Damage caused or contributed to by unauthorized repairs, modifications, performance tuning, electrical alterations, lift kits, lowering kits, oversized tires, or aftermarket accessories may be excluded.
Article VI — Warranty Claim Procedures
6.1 Reporting a Concern
The Customer should notify Portillo Automotive as soon as reasonably practicable after discovering a concern believed to relate to a covered repair.
6.2 Opportunity to Inspect
Except where emergency action is reasonably necessary, the Customer agrees to provide Portillo Automotive a reasonable opportunity to inspect the Vehicle before authorizing warranty-related work elsewhere.
6.3 Emergency Repairs
The Customer should preserve invoices, photographs, diagnostic reports, towing records, and removed parts when reasonably available following emergency repairs.

7.1 Customer Decision
The Customer may decline recommended repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, or safety-related services.

7.3 Documentation
Declined recommendations may be documented on the estimate, Repair Order, Invoice, inspection report, digital communication, or a separate acknowledgment.
Article VIII — Customer-Supplied Parts
8.1 Customer Responsibility
The Customer assumes responsibility for selecting, purchasing, and supplying any part not furnished by Portillo Automotive.
8.2 No Part Warranty
Portillo Automotive does not warrant the quality, durability, compatibility, design, or performance of customer-supplied parts.
8.3 Installation Workmanship
Any labor warranty applies only to workmanship directly associated with installation and does not cover failure caused by the supplied part itself.
Article IX — Vehicle Storage, Possession, and Abandonment
9.1 Vehicle Pickup
The Customer agrees to retrieve the Vehicle within the period disclosed after receiving notice that it is ready for pickup.
9.2 Storage Charges
Disclosed storage charges may begin to accrue if the Vehicle is not retrieved within the stated period, subject to applicable law.

11.1 Authorized Scope
Portillo Automotive's responsibility is limited to exercising reasonable professional care in performing the specific services authorized by the Customer.
11.2 Future Performance
Completion of a repair does not guarantee future reliability, prevent unrelated failures, eliminate normal wear, or constitute a warranty of the entire Vehicle.
11.3 Non-Waivable Rights
Nothing in this Warranty is intended to waive or restrict any right or remedy that cannot legally be waived or restricted.
Article XII — Digital Communications, Photographs, and Records
12.1 Electronic Communications
The Customer authorizes communications by telephone, text message, email, digital inspection platform, and other agreed electronic methods.
12.2 Photographs and Video
Portillo Automotive may photograph or record the Vehicle to document condition, diagnostic findings, repairs, warranty concerns, quality control, insurance matters, or legal claims.
12.3 Electronic Authorization
Electronic signatures, text approvals, email approvals, and digital authorizations may be treated as evidence of customer authorization to the extent permitted by law.
Article XIII — Governing Law and Dispute Procedures
13.1 Governing Law
